i’m about halfway done with the knitting portion. about two and a half balls into this project. i told the mannequin to cover up, she was being indecent, but she wouldn’t listen. hopefully the neckline will pull in a little once i put the ribbing on.

2/28 so very close to the finishing line… i just have to weave the neckline ribbing in, and finish the armholes. i’m having some issues deciding how to do that… it looks great, though. fits beautifully, too.

3/11 whoo hoo! done done done. the ruffly shoulder bits don’t really suit carlyn, so i went for the more business-like 2x2 rib instead. other modifications were the length, and the subsequent increases so that the vest wouldn’t ride up. i really love the way this turned out, and carlyn seems to, too. yay! etta-puppy even joined us for some of the photos.

p.s. in a short that carlyn and i were in together, she played the character of zoe. unrelated to firefly, but we’re all big damn fans.
