Notes

4/26- ends are in. these got blocked. oddly, the picture that looks the most blown out gives the most accurate colors for the socks.

4/20- i finished sewing ends in on the first, and finished knitting the second slipper probably a week ago. i have started sewing in the ends on the second sock… lost a little bit of steam. i’ll have to push on through, though!

3/29- finished one slipper. started sewing in ends tonight. got maybe five stripes done. ^_^. oh man, the sewing in of ends is going to take a bit.

3/24- finished two stripe repeats on the first sock and then put some yarn through the live stitches to cast on for number two. i realized i should have split the yarns into even amounts before starting them if i wanted the stripes to be even and the same on each side. so i knit to the same place on the second slipper, and then split the yarns i thought i was likely to finish at that point. that’s where i am now! they look kind of lumpy because all of the ends are stuffed down inside of them.

3/22- stripey toe up slipper socks. using my leftover bits, primarily of the pink and purple worsted persuasion for an engaged friend.

ah… yet another reason to use my addi turbos… maybe i should buy another size… but i do love the dense squishy fabric made by knitting worsted on size fours.

yarns:
-lions brand wool (oatmeal natural)
-frog tree alpaca singles worsted (pale pink and the -darker reddish pink. former from louisa and latter from selbu modern)
-berroco ultra alpaca (aubergine from my first cap karma)
-brown sheep worsted singles (off white natural from a college colors scarf for a friend)
-malabrigo (grey-purple from princess mitts)
-queensland collection kathmandu aran (grey tweed, from marigold hat)
-cascade 220 (cerise aka hot pink from habitat)
-brown sheep nature spun worsted (boysenberry aka bright purple)
-random unknown natural worsted weight wool.
