I’ve followed the pattern till the border - but the border on the pattern isn’t really working for me so I have switched to the tried and tested old shale.

After that, I used the border from the Ostrich plume shawl.

The next to the bottom picture is a muddle - that’s just to show that on the advice of other ladies on line, I’ve moved from using “proper” stitch markers to using tiny elastic hair bands - the kind we used to use when we braided just little bits of hair? They are incredibly cheap (less than £3 for 1000 on ebay!) and so far, aren’t snagging in the wool, don’t catch the wool and slide along the needles quite happily.

The bottom picture is the lovely assistant who supervised the blocking.

The next pictures (going up) are the process of blocking… And the top one is the shawl going through my (engagement) ring. :)
