This is very, very loosely based on a hexagon shawl pattern - meaning, I read the pattern to find out how the shawl was constructed and went my own way from there.

It’s growing at an alarming rate - at about 22 inches long, it takes half an hour to do a row!

Finally! It’s done! Pictures to show how pretty the wool is…

Size - unblocked - 40 inch wing span (so 80 inches wide), 40 inch drop along each spine.

The top picture - and the bottom few - are of the shawl blocked, the rest are in process - you can see the difference that blocking makes!
