Made from Stash - the picture doesn’t do it justice, as the yarn that looks blue is actually a dark purple. I’ve got more of that than most other things, so that’s going to be the recurring colour…

Simplest possible blanket pattern. Patterns for this abound but they all boil down to:

Cast on 9 stitches.
Knit 7 ridges (14 rows).
Cast off all but last stitch.
Turn knitting 90 degrees, pick up 7 stitches along the side.
Knit 7 ridges.
Cast off all but last stitch…

Repeat as long as you can. :)
