This is my first Louisa Harding pattern. I love this gorgous wrap design and the yarn combination!

This is my first knit garment other than a simple scarf or shawl.

Update 1/14/09: Pressure is on to finish this now since Louisa herself is coming to my LYS Babetta’s 1/21/09 for a book signing.

I procrastinated finishing it because I have never blocked before. I was timid to try the soak and then block method. Since the yarn is 50% wool and 50% man made fibers I decided to pin it out, spray it and lay damp tea towels over it.

1/19/09: It is now blocked and finished. Yea… it is ready to wear it to the Louisa book signing!

I love this pattern! Louisa Harding has designed a great pattern and yarn combination that give a basic knitter (me) a gorgeous designer-style wrap. The results look much more difficult than it was to knit. My kind of pattern!

1-21-09 I met Louisa Harding today! She is so lovely! She brought a trunk show to the book signing and her garments are even more gorgeous in person! Now I want to knit all her patterns!

Update: 12-03-09 Decided to embellish my Scala Wrap with one of Louisa’s rosettes to wear to my knitting guild’s Holiday Party.
