Update: January 20, 2014:

So the neck edge blocked out straight, but I still love it. I’m sure it would be easy enough to preserve the cat’s eye shape instead. Posted for test-knitting. Can’t wait to see others versions of this after checking out how pretty my friend Rachel’s came out!

Update, Nov. 8, 2012: Finished last night! Nothing like giving yourself a birthday present! This needs blocking in the worst way, but when it’s blocked it will be even softer and the lace will look exceptional.

I especially love how the cat’s eye shape drapes more nicely than a plain straight edge around the neck.

This is turning out just wonderful. The yarn is so springy because it is a singles and the resulting fabric is very lofty and cozy. I can’t wait to wear it on a very cold day!

It’s a new shape that I really like. Am going to call it “cat’s eye.” :)
