Notes

7/18/13: Really works up quick and easy once you get going. Not the most intricate or challenging thing I’ve ever made, but definitely the softest and probably the most versatile. Makes a lovely, simple gift idea too.

7/17/13: Decided to also use the “I” hook for the single crochet rows, it’s working really nicely to balance them out with the extended single crochet.

7/16/13: Got about 6 rows in and realized something wasn’t right. Best I can tell, there is an error in this pattern. It describes extended single crochet as one too many “draw up loop”s which makes the yarn bunch up. Going to frog and start over because it just doesn’t look or feel right this way. Also, I used an “I” hook for the chain to adjust the tension of the initial row.

Quick note on JMF Herriot: This yarn is 100% Baby Alpaca. I’m pretty sure this is the softest yarn I have ever felt, ever. I can usually resist the urge to pet my yarn. It is startling how soft this yarn is.
