Playing with project inspirations. For some reason my phone and computer do not see eye to eye on DFY’s withering bluebell colorway. haha. Still prowling for the right complimenting color. Excited for this one!! Come on MAY!

I started a little early. Couldn’t be helped. The yarn was wound, the pattern icon sitting patiently, needles and fresh new cables at the ready. So I cast on this morning, and I love it. The silver glows against the blue-purple that looks more blue in the sun and more purple in the shade. I might stop short a repeat or two when I get close to the end, just because I’m not a tall person and don’t want blocking to make this an enormous shawl that makes me look even more height-lacking.

This is such a fun knit. I can’t put it down. Interesting enough with the stripes and lace segment, but not so intense that I can’t work on it when sleepy or watching TV. I’m already plotting the next one - maybe I’ll try a lace or sock weight version.

Really been neglecting my knitting the last few weeks. Chalk it up to graduation, pinning ceremony, and cramming for boards. Still, 5/6 body repeats done, and I’ve toyed with the idea of stopping here and moving on to the border to keep it from blocking into something too large for my short self. Not sure yet, either way I’m loving the colorplay and how subtle and pretty this project is.

Moving really puts a damper on anything that isn’t packing boxes, carrying boxes, or unpacking boxes. Suffice to say I could comfortably go a very long time without wanting to see another cardboard box. But I have been claiming some serious knit-hours the past few days and finally cast off this project tonight. Will block when the sun comes back up, and then take some glamour shots.
