Mint Julep with Trans-Rainbow-Frosted Light Tanzanite

** Yes, this lovely yarn does happen to match my Care Plan book perfectly. Go figure.

Casting on today, using a size 6 needle for the body. Hit a pause in my Mustardseed while I wait to order more beads. Really need some mindless tv knitting, too. So the body of this project is perfect.

I am so in love with this colorway. I can hardly put it down, it’s so lovely to watch the colors unfurl. I’m super pleased with the hints of purple, too. Just enough that I want a little more, which I think will give good purpose to the beads.

Oh, I did decide to go with the newer version of the Boo border, the ml’s and mr’s, because I just feel more familiar with them and the kyok’s were making me frustrated.

10-22-2015

Finished the main body chart tonight. 157 stitches. Going to switch to a size 7 and do lace chart A tomorrow, if I can make myself put this down. :)

10-23-2015

Finished the little lace set-up (Chart A) and the wrong side row after it. Crazy exhausted though, and I think continuing tonight is going to result in having to tink back errors. So, calling it a night. On to Chart B of lace tomorrow! Hopefully! :)

11-02-2015

One row to go of chart B. Suddenly these rows feel very long. Had to do a little damage control, my stitch count was off. Somehow, I completely skipped an entire beaded row. Didn’t want to tink back THAT far, so I fiddled a little and I don’t think it’ll be TOO noticeable to anyone who isn’t familiar with the pattern. Going to go with it and hope everything blocks out okay.

11-19-2015

Switched to a size 8 for chart C. Everything has been smooth sailing since I corrected my stitch count after accidentally leaving out a row in Chart B. Going to switch back to the size 7 and do a cast on 2, bind off 5.

11-21-2015

All done! I let it have a good long soak, and gently pinned it out. This might be my new absolute favorite pattern. I was pretty surprised how much leftover yarn I ended up with too, probably about 1/8 of the skein. I’ll be casting on another tomorrow to give as a Christmas present. <3 <3 <3
