New technique (Provisional cast on), check !:0)
Still in my search for a perfect hat for me.

I cast on 100 stitches as the yarn is much thinner as recommended yet from my other hats it seems to be ok.

Will knit according to the mods from solaris link text for a larger hat.

(K9, k1fb) x 10 (110 sts)
Knit 5 rounds (my mistake)
(K10, k1fb) x 10 (120 sts)
Knit 4 rounds
(K11, k1fb) x 10 (130 sts)
Knit 3 rounds
Purl 1 round
Knit 3 rounds
(K11, k2tog) x 10 (120 sts)
Knit 4 rounds
(K10, k2tog) x 10 (110 sts)

Knit 5 rounds (my mistake to compensate)
(K9, k2tog) x 10 (100 sts)
Knit 2 rounds
Join the stitches.

Worked the decreases at 4” from brim - not enough yarn. Knit a 3st i-cord to attach button.
Size 6.5”,
Brim 2.25”
Circ 22”

I found it a bit plain as was, so l just knit a 3 stitch- i-cord of the desired lenght - more than circumference, then sew it. I like it much better like that!
