Notes

Christmas present, house socks for my husband.

11/25/15 -
Casted on 60 sts, using tubular cast-on method.

  • Tension swatch - 7 sts to 1” on 2.25mm needles
  • 60 sts, rib 2x2 - 4”
  • 8” total length to heel start, per request

Knitted these socks simultaneously, one section at a time on first sock, then the same section on the other socks, and so on. This way I have no “second syndrome sock”, remember all the small details, and keep my tension even.
It is my current preferred method.

Unhappy with the yarn - very uneven in color and thickness, got 2 knots in one skein so far. So…., cutting and pasting the yarn.
The same dye lot, but color grey is significantly lighter in one skein. Thinking outside the box - and use dark grey sewing thread to add to the main yarn to correct the color.

Finally finished and grafted! It took me a few days before I could find some quiet time to do the kitchener stitch.
