Notes

I love difficult and intricate patterns. This one won my heart!

I am a loose knitter.
Started the size for newborn, just to see what I will produce!

3-9-12
The hat is done.
I changed the color sequence - lighter on the bottom.

Acrylic was a good choice for the pattern, since cotton wouldn’t be as “user friendly”.

As much as I love the look of the hat - there is lots of work! And you really needs to pay attention for layer changes.

Didn’t really care for the ends to weave in.
And there’s lots of them, believe me!
Also, you have to tack down the points of every petal. If you don’t - refer to my pictures - see how the bottom petals are curled up?

As I predicted - it fits my daughter, she is 4T, and she loves it. She calls it “Berry Hat”.
(my own fault with the size issue - not the designer’s)

I am planning to make a ribbing on the bottom/inside the hat to hug the head better.

Ribbing band is done and attached. I love the fit better.
(I used 3.25mm needles and made a 96 sts band.
Attached it using tapestry needle /sew-on)

There is a video on Youtube, provided by Knitwhit that might be helpful.
