Notes

8-24-2011 - Made a small sample.
Here is the design.
Started today with 3-ply lace weight, 100% wool.
I have a big bobbing of 1-ply - 1/16,5. I plied it on my wheel, with very light twist, Navajo style.
Not easy to knit, since yarn is splitting easily. I have to concentrate on every stitch. No mindless knitting here.

Being on chart B, I noticed my mistake - instead of stockinette on the lace part, I am knitting garter… Bummer!

Actually, I don’t mind it.
So, keep on knitting.

I used KnitPicks needles and lace wires for blocking.
Blocking mats - are from WalMart

8-30-2011 - slowly but surely, the middle garter stitch triangle is 25cm long! Yay!

6-10-2012 - finally finished the shawl!
Decided to change the top edge cast-off.
I used modified version of I-cord. Now the edge is sturdy.
Shawl is large.
But I like it!
It will keep me warm in Winter months.

I am officially in love with this shawl!!!

So light and airy, so beautiful and simple!
Real delight!

It took Blue Ribbon in 2012!
