Yarn held double.

For her curls, I did a variety of strands. I started with the approach in the pattern, but did some with 3 sc per chain, some with 2 sc, and one with 1 sc. The trick is to twist the curls all the wrong ways, so that they don’t just hang like corkscrews. It gives a lot more volume with less effort, and looks more realistic because it’s more irregular/asymmetrical.
