3/20 - done! Ends woven in and everything!

Change to thumb of starting 1st away from chain, work to 1 st away, sc2tog three times; repeat, then 1 row even.

Change to beads of only every other dc (second of each crdc) across the back of the hand only.

Change of thumb gusset to place it where the change-of-round jog would be least visible (for me, pinkie side of palm edge), possible because I was already distinguishing L/R with bead placement.

3/18 - After a slight hiatus due to the need to find beads properly sized to this yarn, I am done with the first glove except for the thumb. Going to do the other hand first, then both thumbs.

Picture includes my oh so elegant stitch marker yarns :)

3/13 - Hokay, mathtiemz. +15 sts is too big.

Started with 28 instead of 30, which is 93%. Same percentage of post-thumb would be +13 and change.

Also I am having yarny indecisions about whether this yarn is too cheap to be wasting this effort on. Sigh. My brain, ladies and gentlefolk…

3/12 - http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/selfish-knitters--crochete... ::facepalm::

3/11 - up to second round of crdc, and figured out part of my problem: once I complete a crdc pair and go to place the next one, I keep reading the first part of the first stitch in the pair as a stitch from the row below. (Base has stitches ABCD etc. First crdc in B and A, look for B so that I can skip C and go to D, but misidentify part of said crdc as “B”, making B itself “C” and C “D”, so end up starting the new pair one stitch too early.) Now that I know that’s what I’m doing, I can tell the difference between the two.

3/6 - started with mystery stash (probably acrylic, but it’s soft), more worsted weight than fingering. First try was as written since I have larger hands but five rounds in and it’s a wee bit big; will try 28 instead.

crdc is evil and deceptive, ftr; I always wanted to go one stitch behind where I was supposed to. Weaving a contrasting shade of yarn through every 4th stitch helped a lot.

Planned mods: chain +1 and sc back as for flat, instead of joining at the chain stage; beads added (poss. only across back of hand?) via dental floss method rather than stringing
