Taking a two part class at Gather Here to learn how to do color work:]

First class: 11/3
Second class: 11/17

Update: I’ve decided to make my lining out of hampden hills alpaca silk! These mittens are going to be so warm and soft against the wearer’s hands!

11/16: Finished the outer mitten of my first mitten!

11/20: Finished outer mitten number two! Blocking tonight to stretch the fabric a little bit and then starting the lining when it dries

11/22: Lining one complete! Man that alpaca is soft :] My only complaint is that the mitten is a little snug with the lining.

11/23: Lining two complete! The linings knit up a lot faster than the outer mittens. I think if I was to make the mittens again, I would either use a larger needle or add a repeat of the bottom to make the mittens longer.
