An old UFO finally finished!
Done in a combination of knitting and Tunisian crochet, with lots of different needle sizes.
It started out as a Tunisian scarf that SwedishIngrid made and gave me. And it kept jumping up and down and yelling that it wanted to become something else … so I unpicked a few rows, and, using the rest of the scarf as a base, started on what was going to be a vest, but it just curled up and stared sulkikly at me - annoyed that I was being so dense about what it wanted to be, I guess. So I put it away …
After joining the True Confessions group, I dug it out again, and … 3 or 4 froggings later … I finally got it! Sometimes yarn can have a hard time getting us to understand what it wants to become. But I found some weird Mexican pink Gjestal mohair that was perfect with the other stuff, and used that first as back-up yarn in Tunisian-in-the-round, then with some really chunky Colinette in knitted scribble lace.
