Made as my entry for the Little Red Games for Red Riding Hood Yarns
There were extra points awarded for
- cables (cabled rib)
- use of red (red in the cast off for the neckline and hem, this was rather funny as my stash is all boxed up because our house is on the market so I had to rustle around for something red and came up with this 4ply in the end which I double stranded for the cast off thinking I could easily undo it and cast off in the mc later if I wished)
- team flag (thanks Emma)
- use RRHY
- NZ/Aus pattern
The challenge was to knit up 150gms as fast as possible. I was annoyed at the end that I still needed to pick up stitches and do the neckline - but in total this took me 6 hours to knit. I modified the pattern so I didn’t have to put the sleeves yarn onto waste yarn and then rib in the round too.
Bottom two pictures taken on completion at 2am, one shows the weight of the remaining yarn from my 200gm skein (which doesn’t include the red used)
Such fun, but my wrists, hands and shoulders don’t thank me for it today!
