I made David the size 2 as he fits size 2 clothes at the moment and he matched the chest measurement but it’s a little bit big for him. Maybe he’ll actually fit it next time as well (if my 2+ year old lets me put it on him lol)

Fortunately, because it’s a bit roomy I am able to change his nappy without having to completely undress his top half as well, though there is a lot of belly buttom/crotch gaping when he sits down.

Love the colour, yarn was custom dyed by Emma of Olive & Emma designer yarns and was exactly what I was after for my little blue eyed boy.

I decided to go for short sleeves so that it could be worn when it’s not too cold still but wasn’t sure on sleeve length so did 12 rows of st. st before the garter and they’re a little on the long side. But if next year they are a little short for him, I’ll just frog back some of the sleeves and add it to the legs maybe!

Very cute FO - I always wanted to knit one of these for one of my bebes, and seeing as David is definitely our last, and growing so quickly - it was now or never!

Beautifully written clever pattern.
