Okay, I swear this is my last cast-on for the Ravelympics. It’s just that as I turned the heel on my first Oxford Walking Sock I realized that I was going to be at the movies basically every evening for the next ten days, so I needed a Ravelympics project I could a) tote around easily b) without a pattern. And what could be more perfect than socks dedicated to the Olympics’ biggest fan?

Challenge elements:
Switching to toe-up, heel from Baudelaire Socks but with purled gusset rather than my traditional short-row.

2/16 These socks are totally making me see the appeal of designing. So much fun to make cabling decisions. Though I am not so good at random/asymmetrical, but they will be fraternal twin socks.

2/17 Turned the heel on sock 1 already!
