Cast on this evening. I am using Madeline Tosh DK in Celedon. I like the yarn much better wound than in the skein, I was iffy on the color at first, but now I love it!

I am using size 6 needle the whole way since the last hat I made from the same designer ended up bigger than I had wanted. I am still not very good at swatching and gauge.

The pattern is very easy to follow so far and I love the design! It is knitting up very fast, I love how hats are almost instant gratification.

On the last repeat, it is getting close to the right size, hope it all works out length wise. The last hat was a bit tall. We shall see, with this pattern you can’t really cut out the last repeat as it finishes the acorn pattern. I do love this pattern. So pretty.

Got stuck on double decreases. Looked online and ended up doing (slip slip knit then bring slipped stitches over knit stitch) for first dec row and then k3tog for second decrease row to get them slanting correctly. Fit is perfect, I am glad I stuck with the 6 needle the whole way through.
