Started 1/8/12 Pattern has been very easy to understand so far. Love the color of this yarn, so many lovely shades. I have never used gauge before and attempted to but couldn’t get it right (too small) and I was on my largest size US11 needles! I don’t think of myself an a tight knitter, but apparently I am. I just used size 7 as I liked the look of the fabric best when using that size and I will just have to adjust and keep going until I reach the width desired.

Working on the k2p2 ribbing now. Had to order another skein since 3 is not going to be enough.
I am very new to knitting so I had a hard time understanding what to do after the increase row after the k1p1 section. I took it in to my LYS and they told me to treat the yo like I would in the sequence and then with every increased row it would add another. I was confused beforehand as the instructions just said to k2p2. I guess that is all implied.
Hopefully I will have this all finished in the next few days after the new skein arrives. It is going to be so warm and cozy and the color is to die for! Really love the yarn.

Finally finished the shawl. I used up half of the 4th skein and still was only about 2 1/2 inches into the ribbing but thought that another two inches would be overkill. Bound off as pattern called for. End have been woven in and I don’t know that I will block it, I like it as is. I have been wearing it all day and it is so cozy and warm. Just gorgeous yarn.
