8-20-15 - Loved working on this cowl. The sections got progressively more fun, easier to memorize, and faster as you go. The first section took FOREVER! But I loved the second and third sections. It was a bit of a challenge keeping the edges neat on the third section, but I tried to be consistent about how I twisted the yards up the side of the work.

This was my first time using the Kitchener stitch, and it went really well! I used the Purl Bee video, which was easy to follow. I soaked it and blocked it, it really wanted to stretch out, especially the first section. It took a while to dry, but was worth blocking. Now it just needs to get cold so that I can wear it! It’s going to match my winter coat perfectly!.

6-7-15 - Started this yesterday, and worked on it a decent amount. Took me a minute to understand how to k1b, once I figured that out it was smooth sailing. This first block has been easy to memorize and easy to knit so far. Will keep an eye on the edges, a few rows it’s not super neat already.
