Feb 27 - Cast on.

Feb 28 - Back rectangle portion done. I really love the way this yarn looks knit up.

4/23 - Starting the actual knitting!

December 23, 2012 - Yeah. Didn’t touch this for a very long time. Just cleaned up the gross spots across the back with a crochet seam. Going to start the sleeves today.

Made a cheat sheet to get me through the first wedge - updated to get through the rest.

Using this method of wrap & turn.

Finished up first wedge!

4/26 - Finished 2nd wedge. Getting ready to hit the sleeve opening.

4/27 - Finished 3rd wedge, about 2 inches into the sleeve areas.

4/28 - Finished 4th wedge.

5/2 - Finished 5th wedge. I’ll be done with classes for a month on Wednesday, so I’m looking forward to getting all of my WIPs taken care of.

5/3 - 6th wedge done. Attached to back section midway through stockinette section. Still cannot get the picked up areas to look good. I blame the slipped stitches. I’m just going to keep doing it that way, even though I don’t like it in the hopes that the weird loose look will block out.

If I make this again, I would do a provisional cast on for back section and then leave the stitches live on a holder to pick as I go around in the circle. I think this would leave much cleaner lines.

5/6 - Finishing up the 10th wedge. Sitting down and actually knitting for a few hours can really make a HUGE difference on this baby!

5/12 - Finished 13th wedge.

5/15 - Body is DONE! Used a 3-needle BO to join pieces.

Will probably use this sleeve cap for some room at the top.

12/25/12- Finished first sleeve. Did not use the sleeve cap with short rows after all. Mostly because I lost a ton of weight so I don’t really need the room now.

Ended up doing the tucked stitches 3 times in order to make them long enough.

If I were to make this again, I’d knit the sleeves to within 2 inches of where I want them and then do tucks of 6 rows below. I’m half considering doing this for the second sleeve and then comparing which I like more…

1/1/13 - All done. I hope the sleeves grow just a little bit. I think they will since the yarn opens up a lot with washed.

Depending on how they look after blocking, I might re-sew the arm seams. They look okay, but not great.

1/5/13 - Seams for arms are okay after wearing. The sweater is a little difficult to get to sit right. I’m sure that’s because of the sleeve construction, but it’s not too bad. It’s a very warm garment without feeling overly bulky, which I really like.
