Notes

This is going really fast. I like it a lot so far.

2/21 - The back is almost done!!! It’s looking great. It’s getting a bit heavy and starting to hurt my hands a bit. It should be all finished up tomorrow. :)

2/22 - The back is done!! It looks great. All my ends are woven in. I’ve learned my lesson and know I just need to do them as I go. Most importantly, I AM STILL ON MY FIRST BALL OF EACH COLOR. I’m just in shock!!!!

I’m going to cast on for the front now. I think the only thing I want to change about this sweater is the sleeves. I don’t like the super long fold-up cuffs. I know they’ll just bother me.

2/23 - The right front section is coming along nicely. I just started the second ball of Garnet!

2/24 - The right front section is done!! The left front section is into it’s 3rd stripe. If I can keep this pace up, I’ll have a cardigan by the weekend.

2/27 - I took a few days off to knit Bug a toy. I got quite a bit done tonight at SNB and should have the left front section all done tonight. Then it’s on to the sleeves! I’m thinking about knitting those at the same time. We’ll see.

2/29 - I took Thursday off to knit a felted box which turned out awful!! Anyway -- the left front is done and the sleeves have been cast on. I’m doing both at once since they are the same for both arms. Yay! That should make things go quickly. Now I just have to think of somewhere to block this baby without it getting covered in dog hair.

3/3 - The sleeves are coming along… slowly but surely. I have to remind myself that I’m doing both at once so of course it’s going to take longer. I got bored knitting tonight and decided to sewn up the sides and the shoulder seams. it looks great. all my stripes matched up. it seems a bit small…. but i still have button bands to add on. hopefully that does the trick. i can always try it on as i go to make sure they are wide enough.

3/6 - Ugh messed up both sleeves by reading the directions wrong. Ugh. I ripped back one and re-did it and finished it! I got so excited I had to sew it on and see what it looked like!

3/7 - The first sleeve is completely attached and all ends are woven in! Go me.

3/8 - Second sleeve is done and attached. Collar is done too. I decided to do a crew neck collar because the other one was just too floppy. Now on to the button bands.

3/9 - Oh dear god. The button bands have proves to be the biggest PITA. I was picking them up wrong and wasted HOURS. Ugh. I finally have it moving along, but I realized that since I changed the collar, I’m going to need to rip it out and re-do it after I finish the button bands.

The sweater came out great. I took a break for a bit and re-did the button band BO while I was in Ohio. I used a 2 row BO. It was fun and looks so good.
