I won this yarn in a giveaway back in April (2013). I’ve been saving it for something special. This past summer we moved from Utah to Maine. And we’re getting LOTS of snow here. My 11yo kept borrowing his Dads balaclava because his cheeks and nose got cold. He has warm hats so I decided he might like a cowl instead of a balaclava. Its then I realized this yarn would be perfect for his cowl. There’s a story behind this yarn, and I figured my boyo, who is a big history buff, would LOVE it. Besides which, the colors of this yarn make me smile and my 11yo boy makes me smile! So, the story behind this yarn is that is was made by hand by Sallamanda in the Netherlands for Koninginendag, to commemorate the Queen handing over to Prince Willem Alexander.
