Notes

First stab at two-colour brioche stitch … fun! And makes a beautiful fabric … very light and drapy, yet firm and noncurling.

My scarf is 14 cm. (5.5”) wide and was 183 cm. (72”) when I reached the end of the “step” syncopation. Now just have a straight run to the end. :-) (ended up knitting a further 15 cm. (6” after the steps, so final length is 198 cm./78”)

Fastening a safety pin on the B side made keeping track of where I was much easier when I was still learning to read the stitches: no pin side was knit purple/purl bluegreen, pin side was purl purple/knit bluegreen. Once I had the stitchreading and colour sequence down pat it was still handy to retain the pin to track A-side/B-side when the syncopations began.

Used two-colour bindoff from elsewhere in the brioche book rather than the single colour Italian bindoff mentioned in pattern … did it a teensy bit tighter than necessary (must remember that for next time) but not so much that I need to redo it.
