Used two-colour Italian cast-on instead of casting on in one colour. Also heeded Lucy Neatby’s advice that it’s better to work this cast-on using straight needles ¹ rather than a circular. Worked first row (technically the set-up for the two colours but I already had my two colours established in the cast on) on the straight needles; switched to Heavy Metal circs after that.

Chart 1 finished: Jan. 2, 2014 (after long hiatus caused by insane work overtime and a couple other life things)

Dec. 28, 2016: Retrieved from another unplanned hiatus. When packed away had been knitted up to line 68 in chart 3.

Dec. 29, 2016: Chart 3 completed.

Dec. 30, 2016: Chart 4 begun.

Apr. 7, 2017: And, after yet another unplanned delay … finished row 42 of chart four which means I’m now at the halfway point!

Apr. 9, 2017: Celebratory photo of proof of passing halfway point (indicated with blue arrows). I do love this scarf but that doesn’t mean I don’t need self-encouragement. ;p

May 2, 2017: Finished chart 4!!!
