My husband made me a stand with treadles for my table loom, and I just had to try it out. I used leftover odds and ends of my hand dyed and hand spun yarn (fingering to DK weight, merino, silk and merino, and polwarth) for the warp, and commercially dyed silk and merino that I had spun (light fingering weight) for the weft.

3 yard warp
72 ends -
50 ends purple (3 yarns)
8 ends rust
38 ends green

12 dent reed (set at 8” wide)

Measured 68” on loom, 60” off the loom and 51” after washing.

6” twisted fringe (5” after washing), 35 twists with a twister.

I brushed the scarf before washing.

After lots of agitating in hot soapy water the scarf came out to 51”x6.5” (not including the fringe). It is lovely and soft, and the colours are beautiful.

I didn’t end up using the gray yarn in the bottom photo (it is a mix of merino and alpaca, and I find the alpaca scratchy so didn’t want to use it).
