Remember this beanie? With two skeins in stock and Alice’s birthday coming, there was no other choice than knit a close cables hat for her.

Moka is a lovely grayish brown, and the Big Merino yarn is still very comfortable to knit. But not so easy to re-knit, thread i splitting.
After the beanie was finished, I tried it on… too small for a normal adult head! I had to unravel it, cast on +8 stitches (one more cable vertically) and knit +8 rows (one more cable horizontally). This way, the hat covers well the ears!

On top, a simple 5cm pompom to finish exactly the skeins.
