I think the diamond lines are too straight to go with the curves of the quatrefoil. Maybe if the lines of the diamond curved inward more it might work.

how about a pretty medallion with a more intricate center design that fits in the framework of the diamond or the quatrefoil?
both are pretty though, I agree if left as is, why not offer both?
