I’m craving something fast and easy to jump start my knitting this year. I’ve been in a slump ever since last year and I need to get back into a groove so I can pump out some projects. Here’s hoping this will do the job.

01-18-09: The colours are looking really nice knitted out. The armholes are ready to be made into arms. I just need to finish the sweater body. It’s knitting up quickly due to the weight of the yarn, so that shouldn’t take too long.

01-19-09: Finished the body and one and a half sleeves. Half a sleeve and a hood to go, and then it’s done.

01-20-09: Finished the sleeves and wove in all the edges. Also fixed the holes in the armpits by sewing them shut. Now I’m debating whether or not to put the hood and front pocket on. It’s really nice the way it is. Maybe I’ll decide by poll.

01-24-09: After a couple days of polling and deciding what to do, the vast majority voted no pocket but a hood. That’s what I did, and it looks great :) Fits well, but still has a bit of room, so hopefully he can wear it for at least a month or two. Hope, hope. All in all, it’s a success. Soft, stretchy, and looks great on him. Definitely a project I’d make for other people’s kids.
