05-01-09: Good day, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to yet another fine installation of READ THE FUCKING PATTERN. That’s right! All the work I did last night has come out and I have resumed the scarf while actually following the pattern. Der der, der der der. Derp. Me jupe, der der.
05-02-09: Worked on the scarf during breaks in class today, and a bit this evening. Now that I’ve actually read through the pattern and followed it, it’s coming along quite nicely. The yarn is nice and soft, and stripes really well. I’ve finished 1 ball and have started a second. The work measures probably around 20 inches. There are currently 12 cabled hearts on it.
05-03-09: 15 hearts in. It measures 21 inches.
05-06-09: Up to 20 hearts now. Haven’t measured it, but it’s over halfway done.
Later: Up to 25 hearts and 35 inches. I’ll need to work 49 inches of heart before I do the final heart and the last moss stitch row. Also cast on the third ball of yarn. It’ll probably be the final ball of yarn to finish the scarf, leaving 2 balls of yarn to make maybe a matching hat or some mittens.
05-07-09: Finished the night at 31 hearts. Just another 6 inches to go before I do the last heart. The scarf will have a total of 36 when it’s finished.
05-08-09: Finished knitting and bound off. Need to weave in some ends and probably block this baby. Total number of hearts is actually 35 and the scarf measures just over 50 inches long.
