11-11-08: Worked on a bunch of the sweater at Linda’s gathering. It’s knitting up beautifully. Almost looks store-bought in its current state :)

11-27-08: Halfway through the skull on the front portion of the sweater. The back part is all done. I’ve modified the original design of the skull to look more piratey and less creepy happy.

11-28-08: Was almost finished the top of the pirate’s head when I looked back and noticed I had accidentally short-rowed. Swearing like a seadog, I ripped out 8 rows of work and started where I had left off the previous day.

11-30-08: Another case of not being able to count: Somehow, I have shifted the pattern to the left by one stitch without making the skull look fucked up. It looks fine, and I think I’m probably the only one who will ever be able to tell (and I can’t even tell), so I’m not going to rip it out because it’s FINE.

12-01-08: Finished the skull motif. The rest of this should be smooth sailing. fingers crossed
Finished the entire front piece. Starting on the sleeves.

12-06-08: Done! I did a lot of knitting the past couple of days and sewed it all up. Weaved in all ends. It’s a bit big on him, but that’s GOOD! Now that it’s done, we can go see Santa!
