Notes

12-09-08: Started Greg’s polar bear. Had some questions about the pattern, so I got some insight from Linda. She made things clear and I am happily on my way.

I must say that this pattern is not written very clearly. I’m not a beginning knitter, and I had trouble understanding it. I wonder how a beginner would feel trying to figure it out.

12-11-08: Making good progress. It doesn’t look anything like a polar bear yet, but I can see how the body shaping will kind of resemble what it’ll look like.

12-12-08: Body of the bear is knitted. Now for legs, ears, and tail.

12-16-08: Halfway through the third leg.

12-17-08: All the knitting is done. All the stuffing is done. I just need to sew the legs and ears and tail onto the body, clip on the eyes, and sew on the tail. Safety eyes are nowhere to be found in Toronto, so I’ll have to pick some up in Thunder Bay and finish the project there. Thank goodness Greg will be in Thunder Bay as well. I just hope I can find him before the big day so I can hand him his man-eating beast.

12-24-28: Just finished sewing the feet up. Alex helped me snap the eyeballs on last night, and the nose went on really easily. It’s SOOOO cute! :) Merry Christmas, Greg!
