I remembered that I had a skein of brown sock yarn in my stash which was the perfect colour for one of these bears. It’ll be small, but my baby likes small bears and I think he’ll actually be quite fond of it.

Update: Russell is actually kissing the work in progress because I’ve been stuffing it as I go. He already loves it and it’s just a head.

Update: Finished the shoulders, separated the arms, and am on row 18 for my own reference. It’s adorable.

Update: Body is done. Legs are ready to get started. I keep getting distracted. I hope I can get them done tomorrow. It’s coming together really nicely.

Update: Legs are done. I had to rip out one of the legs twice. Just because I’m an idiot who can’t read clear and good instructions. Good times! Next come the arms, and then finally the ears. Bear is almost done. So adorable.

Final day: Finished the arms and the ears and sewed on the nose and mouth. What a beautiful little bear. After I finish the next project I’ll knit a little red cape for Bear. The baby LOVES him. He carts it around with him, everywhere, and gives him all sorts of kisses. Pics to come of them together.

Note: I closed off the ears using a kitchener stitch. It worked remarkably well. I’d recommend it to anyone who knows how to do it..
