New shawl design; top-down. Just need to write up the pattern and then get it test knitted.

The yarn actually determined this design. I saw this String Theory yarn and knew it had to be a garter stitch shawl.

Also, I didn’t want the usual triangular shawl to point towards my buttocks so I thought I’d try the double spine shaping. With the ruffled feather and fan edging the name was born.

I plan to write up two versions of this, a shawl version as photographed here and a smaller, scarf version using only one skein of fingering.
