I had steadfastly resisted seeing Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie, but was convinced by several colleagues that I really should see it. I’m glad I did. It was fun, thoughtful, and great social commentary. So, I just had to make some pink socks. Ha!

Sorta making these up as I go…

Toe up, 70 sts, 8 stitch repeat pattern on instep of ribbing, eyelets, and garter stripes -- sort of a 60’s modern look -- simple but playful.

Back of sock is a combination of ribbing and 3-stitch mini faux-cables.

Increased cuff to 76 sts
K,P for three rounds
P,K for three rounds
K,P for three rounds
Tubular bind off

I’m freely sharing the chart for the eyelet and rib pattern on the instep and front of the sock. It’s probably and ultimately not my own invention at all, but I didn’t copy this from another source when I charted it out. All I ask is that you don’t turn it into a pattern somebody has to pay for. It’s to remain free in any iteration/variation.
