A quick hat for Logan :)

This form of Brioche is the Knit-One-Below technique. Pretty easy, but I must say, I think with the K1B method, it’s is a lot easier to read your stitches in two colors. Nancy Marchant’s style of brioche is clearer for me for just one color because it’s obvious what you are doing. I haven’t knitted enough brioche to know if the tension is interchangeable between the two methods so I’m sticking with all K1B for this project.

This yarn is loosely plied. Very soft, but can be splitty. In brioche, it will make a lovely, squishy hat.

It’s hard to recover from a mistake in brioche. Lifelines are good to use periodically. Don’t ask…

I liked K1B UNTIL working the decrease rounds. Then it’s a pain in the patoot. I shifted to the YO style of brioche for that--saved a lot of steps.

Great, simple, straightforward pattern. My first for knitting decreases so that bit was a little tricky till I wrapped my brain cell around what I needed to do.
