The actual dusty periwinkle color is hard to capture. A pretty, soft shade.

I would consider this yarn a light fingering or a heavy lace weight, so US 7 needles seemed to work well to create an open mesh.

Stitch pattern is simple but looks fabulous in this yarn. Ought to be very light and airy with great drape.

The knitted fabric does indeed bias and blocking will be needed to both open up the mesh and straighten the grain. With only 60 g to work with, this will be a smaller loop rather than something to be wrapped around the neck twice.

Silly me. I bought this yarn AGES ago, when I was lacked much experience estimating how much yarn might be useful for a project as yet undecided. Wish I had gotten a second skein at the time. It is now discontinued. Also, if I had worked the cowl over fewer sts, the proportions would have shifted so that the loop would have been longer. Ah, well… Still, it’s very soft and quite pretty. A quick, satisfying knit.

Will block prior to joining the edges together.

I actually used a 3-needle bind off with a US 9 needle. I was afraid my grafting might be too tight -- Kitchener isn’t one of my better skills…
