I was knitting the first sock during the 6th and 7th games of the World Series of Baseball: Cubs - vs - Indians. The Cubs won in a very exciting 10th Inning. Their 108 Year Wait is OVER.

For the record, the Cleveland Indians played their hearts out during this series and if the outcome had gone the other way, they would have been deserving too.

My own argument with Professional Baseball, that has lasted since the players went on strike, twice, all those years ago, may be over now as well. Or at least I’m more willing to care about the team than to stew in my righteous indignation. I don’t consider myself a “fair weather” fan, though it may seem like it. I’ve always cared whether the Cubs won any game. I just haven’t been interested in watching -- till this series.
