PATTERN ON TEST

I’m totally happy to have the pattern completed and ready to invite the testers.

Toe up round knitted socks
38-39 european size
two leg circumference pattern variants

Test info:

1) requested skills:

  • Provisional Cast On (any method)
  • Magic Loop Method for round knitting
  • Short Rows (Wrap-and-Turn Method)
  • Stitch-to-Stitch Grafting
  • Stretchy Bind Off (any method)

2) pattern style: abbreviated + notes, comments and advices on key points. 4 technical photos, 1 scheme, 3 photos of alternative color design samples.

Process info:

1) deadline - 2015/04/15
2) would be OK to complete at least 1 full sock by deadline
3) 2 checkpoints - 2015/03/17, 2015/03/31 to let me know you are doing OK or have any troubles/have to leave the project, etc.
4) please write any pattern questions in comment list for this project page to let other testers know the potential problem and its futher solution.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

Shadow wrap short rows methods appears now to be most suitable for the project. Although while testing you may try other methods or follow the original instruction.

CORRECTIONS

2015/03/04
1) Basic Rhombus, z) k3, yo, k2, yo, k4, wt
2) Slipping detalizations:
Step 1 - sl1 purlwise, p39, turn
Step 2 - sl1 knitwise, k39, turn

3) Wrap-and-Turn method detalization:
All wrapped sts are knitted/purled using unwrapping (lifting loop) variation. But you can choose non-lifting method as well.
4) 10. Multiplied Rhombus F: 5)-18) Repeat steps 3)-4) 7 times.

5) 10. Multiplied Rhombus F: 20) To avoid cutting yarn, knit in round 40 sts of Rhombus E to reach the right side of Rhombus F.
2015/03/11
6) To avoid cutting yarn in Step 13 graft heel sts as described with spare end of the ball and knit all sts of multi-Rhombus F to reach right side of Rhombus G.
