Knitting Bee KAL :)

For the record, this is a PRODUCT, not a PROCESS knit. I’ve hated just about every second that I’ve been working on this thing, but I can’t wait to wear it when it’s (finally) done.

03/30/11 - Can’t be bothered to photograph it. Finishing didn’t make me feel any better. Maybe when it warms up enough to wear it…

03/17/11 - Holy jebus, I thought this day would never come! Just cast off the very last stitch and have the sweater taking a bath.

03/23/11 - I really just want to light this damn thing on fire.

02/18/11 - Words cannot express how over this project I am. The sleeves are making me crazy. So, in the interest of actually finishing this god forsaken project, I’m making it short sleeved.

02/20/11 - Sticking with knitting in the round. Had a hell of a time picking the stitches back up on the end cap; the gals at Knitting Bee helped me out. If these ladders don’t block out I may kill something.

09/14/10 - Found the sweater again, but the sleeves were looking terrible. Frogged the sleeves, I plan to knit them flat then seam them up and sew them in. Later. Much later.

09/06/10 - This is going to sound odd, but… I can’t find my sweater. However will I finish it if I don’t know where it is?!

-06/10/10 - Ugh. I am hating knitting the sleeves! Magic loop isn’t working, two circs isn’t working and I can’t find my DPNs. I wish I was done :(

05/31/10 - I think I blocked it crooked or something; one side seems bigger than the other. I’m pretty sure they’re actually the same size. How does this happen to me?!

I think it’ll straighten up once I get the sleeves in and block it properly. We’ll see what the gals at Knit Night have to say about it on Wednesday. I’m going to make the sleeve caps then work on something else until then.

05/31/10 - Finished the fronts! It’s like, midnight:30 as I write this and I’m chanting the mantra “blocking will make it all better!” because it looks kind of awful right now. We’ll see what the morning brings.

05/28/10 - Oh my stars, it’s beginning to look like an actual garment! I finished the back today. I hope to finish the first side tomorrow, but I have a lot of other things to do besides knit, so that might be a little ambitious of a goal.

05/23/10 - Apparently I just needed to write a good long rant on how much I suck at knitting this month, and stop cheating on my cardigan and apologize to it. I’m finally back on track. Not only is my back centered now, but I also have the right amount of stitches ;)

05/21/10 - OMFG. This pattern is so confusing. ARGH.

05/21/10 - Goodness me how time flies. No wonder I never finish anything, I think I’m taking a short break and it’s like, 10 days before I pick something back up! Oy. This yarn spit splices remarkably well. Joined the second ball and am back to making my own slow, steady progress.

05/12/10 - Yes, my second and third sets of tucks came out SO much better than the first. I highly recommend using a DPN to pick up the purl bumps, and pick them all up before you start to k2tog; the resulting row winds up so much neater! I was able to mostly fix the first tuck with some spare yarn and a blunt needle.. I think blocking will take care of the rest of the crookedness.

05/11/10 - Made my first tuck, and it came out better than I expected. I think I picked up some of the wrong purl bumps.. but I’m pretty sure I can fix it after the fact with a sewing needle.. the tuck looks crooked in some parts. I’m confidant that the second one will be better.

05/10/10 - I’m a little worried about my increases.. they seem too high. Hopefully they’re done before I get to where I’m supposed to split for the arms! sigh

05/06/10 - Had to rip a few rows because I rolled a 1 on my “reading comprehension” check and fubar’d my M1’s on the first increase row. This sucks. I’ve made negative progress today.

05/05/10 - I am such a slow knitter. This is going to take me forever to finish. increases Also, I’m terrified of the tucks, and I’m not even there yet.

04/29/10 - La la la, miles and miles of knitting..

04/10/10 - CO a little early, I get distracted easily so I wanted to get the counting done in a quiet place.
