Firsts: Cuff Down Sock

I really enjoyed the scallop pattern at first, but when I got to the foot I realized that the plain stripes on the bottom are also very pretty - so I might need to knit myself another set in plain stripe ;)

-I made it about an inch with DPNs before I switched to circulars - the yarn overs caused too many problems with the extra needles and I ended up having to rip bits out…. twice. That said, the yarn handled that experience beautifully and it’s amazing to knit with, so I’m happy.

• Not wild about the way the finished heel fits my foot, but that’s probably more personal preference than the pattern. I will definitely knit with this yarn again, but maybe not the pattern.

-Also, since these were cuff down I didn’t do a very good job of maximizing yarn… they’re a bit on the short side and I have almost half of my yarn leftover… Matching fingerless gloves, anyone?
