I have hundreds of faved cardigans on ravelry, but I can’t resist Chicknits. I love the way Bonne constructs her sweaters, and I find the designs very flattering. This one is a good stand-in for a jacket.

Yarn was dredged up from the deeps of the stash. It’s an odd yellow with greenish tones that is a good color for me. The silk and cashmere in it give it a nice soft handle.

Actually swatched for this, (and washed and dried the swatch) and got gauge on the US7’s.

I didn’t make the pockets, and I made full-length sleeves.

The only reason I rated this pattern medium difficulty was because I always have a hard time picking up stitches:) Bonne Marie gives very specific instructions, though, which makes the process smoother.

I like the rustic look of the yarn; it lengthened a lot in the blocking and even though I had knit the arms shorter I still had to go back and pull out a few rows and re-knit the cuff which is a very easy fix.
