With size 3 needles, CO 48 st.

2x2 ribbing for 25 rounds

Switch to size 4 needles

2 rounds plain

Thumb:

Place two markers with 1 st between them.

Increase round: Knit to 1st marker, slip marker, M1R, k to 2nd marker, M1L.

Knit 2 rounds plain, then work an increase round.

Rep until there are 15 thumb st, then do two rounds plain, then put thumb sts on a string and CO one st across gap.

Hand: K 5 rnds plain, then 30 rounds 2x2 ribbing and CO (super-stretchy)

Thumb: size 4. Pick up one extra across gap (16). 5 rounds plain. Switch to size 3. 8 rounds 2x2 ribbing.
