CO 28. Work in k1p1 ribbing for 28 rounds

Inc 4 st evenly spaced (32 total)

Work flat now till slipper is done.

instep 17 ridges on 12 st (sl 1st st, p last st), dec for toe (sl1, k2tog, k to within 3 of end, k2tog, p1) Rep decreases on RS rows till 6 st remain. Pick up 19 each side of instep, 10 on one side of cuff, turn, work back around, pick up 19 on other side of instep and 10 on the other side of cuff.

Add a set of short rows on 12 st on both sides at heel-end. (See green ridges in photos)

after 5 (6 at heel) ridges, dec: k1, k2tog, k24, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k24, k2tog, k1

rep same way at heel, and logically with fewer at toe each time (next time, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k1 k2tog, then k2tog, 2tog, k2tog)

dec on last wrong-side row as well, with another k2tog, k2tog, k2tog at toe

I ended up with 44 st before weaving sole together.

Finished slippers weigh 196 grams total.
