I watched the video for the braided cast on and it didn’t look like fun so I used the Chinese Waitress cast on instead.

I finished both mittens up to the top. I started the flip-top openings and realized that the directions have you sew the layers together, so I put the lower stitches back on waste yarn and I’ll sew those live stitches to the lining when it’s finished.

Finished and blocked! I added a lining to the top of the mittens as well because the lining yarn is just so soft. The linings were a little loose and the mittens were a little short, so while they were wet I gave them a good stretch lengthwise. They will be a perfect fit if they stay that way after they’re dry.
