I bought this kit (one of 2 kits with beads) as my beloved LYS was closing.

02-03-2011 My knitting gal pal from my Thursday knitting group (Marilyn… she’s a brilliant knitter!) has made this pattern several times and she helped me get started on this pattern yesterday. I got it! It’s an amazing pattern and is getting easier as I go. At first I thought the positioning of the beads might be too tedious and too fussy for me, but I am now really enjoying this project. Glad I did not throw in the towel… er, scarf!

02-18-2010… about 8 1/2 pattern repeats done. I set this aside while working on a few other things and I’ve been struggling today… keep making mistakes! Argh!

02-23-2011 Like most patterns, this got easier as I went along. I cut it close with yarn again… used all but just a few feet of yarn! Yikes! 15 pattern repeats. On the blocking mats right now.

LOVED using the Cascade Ultra Pima Cotton… knits up beautiful… silky, smooth, pretty stitch definition….
